Meet Your New Title Team
Jami K. Averwater
Founder & CEO
You could say that Jami grew up at the closing table watching her parents, local homebuilders and developers. Overtime her passion for real estate grew, as did her passion for becoming involved in the Murfreesboro community. She is a proud Webb School alum and Bell Buckle holds a special place in her heart. After graduating with a degree in Economics from MTSU, she went on to receive her Doctor of Jurisprudence from Belmont University College of Law. She specializes in real estate law, commercial purchases and closings.
You won’t find anyone more dedicated to building up her community and serving her clients. Jami serves with heart and passion to build the real estate market and leave it better than how she found it.

Merissa Leaver

Merissa Leaver joined the Hywater team with over 10 years of experience in an operations role. She brings extensive knowledge of office management, processes and procedures, and human resources. Merissa is also our hype team. She organizes regular office outings and client celebrations. Merissa lives in Murfreesboro with her husband and their cat, Moose.

As the Chief Title Officer, Jade oversees each file and the team members who work together to get it to the closing table. By encouraging education and growth in each member of our team, Jade lives out the core values at Hywater. She lives in Smithville, Tennessee with her husband (Blake) and their little boy (Atlas). The three of them love adventuring together, and you will often find them on the water somewhere.
Taylor Hargrove

Taylor has proudly called Tennessee home and has been part of the real estate industry since 2017. Passionate about building relationships and serving agents, she brings energy and a solutions-focused approach to every closing. When she's not supporting Realtors, you'll find her training for her next marathon, traveling, reading a good book, exploring local restaurants, or spending time with family, friends, and her three fur babies.
Angela Lyles

Angela has proudly called Murfreesboro home since 1992. She's a graduate of MTSU, where she met her husband of 32 years, and the rest is history! Together, they've built a beautiful life, raised two wonderful children and now share their home with four fun-loving fur babies who keep things lively.
Angela loves what she does, especially when it comes to building strong relationships and taking great care of her clients. She's all about great customer service, and her favorite part of her job is closing day because she believes every closing should feel exciting, smooth, and special.

Erika Hyde joins the Hywater Team after her years spent working in corporate and commercial real estate law in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She is a graduate of Vanderbilt University. She currently resides in Chattanooga with her husband and their dog, Pepper, who often visits the office with her human.

Nick has been on both sides of the closing table since 2011. His family has a legacy for building and developing homes in Middle Tennessee since 1958 and he caught on at a young age. At Hywater Title, Nick specializes in building relationships with each of our clients. He enjoys quality time with his wife and two daughters and supporting Nashville’s various sports teams.
Annette Rose

Annette brings over 20 years of title experience and customer service to the Hywater team. She leaves everyone better than she found them and we promise you will love closing with Annette. She’s a mom, a wife, a friend, and the manager of Hywater Dickson. In her free time, Annette operates a small farm and will happily show you photos of her baby cows!
Melody Carr

Melody manages everything that happens after our clients leave the closing table. She has incredible attention to detail and ensures every document is ready for the public record. Melody and her husband Cal are Master Beekeepers and maintain enough hives to keep Hywater stocked up on honey. I guess you could say that she is the Post-Closing Queen AND Queen Bee!

Alayna joined our team when she didn’t know how to stamp an envelope… now she’s the go-to for all things “title.” She lives with her husband (Nick) and their adorable babygirl (Adalyn).

In addition to having a contagious laugh, Loren has a ton of title knowledge. There are very few files Loren cannot conquer and we are so grateful she chose to continue her career with us at Hywater. She lives in Christiana, Tennessee with her husband (Jordan) and their two growing kiddos (Gray and Emory).

Carly is originally from the Golden State of California where she specialized in title and escrow processing. With a focus on accuracy and communication, Carly helps ensure every transaction moves forward with confidence, bringing consistency, clarity, and a smooth path to the closing table.
Carly enjoys good movies, game nights, and relaxing with her family, friends, and pets.
Casey Jenkins

Casey joined the Hywater team in 2022 after kick-starting her career by working in loan processing. She is a smiling face in our Dickson office, where she is often visited at work by her husband (Tyler) and their little girl (Oaklyn). The three of them spend their weekends golfing and playing with their two dogs.
Bethany Shipley

Bethany joins us with over 10 years of title experience. She has seen the changes in the title industry over the years and handles everything with grace and confidence.
Bethany graduated from Nashville School of Law in 2020 and lives in Lebanon with her husband (Daniel) their Boston Terrier (Charlie) and their new baby girl (Melody).
In her free time she likes to spend time with family and to attend concerts and sporting events, but let's be honest, no one has free time with a new baby!

Jonallen joins the Hywater team in Smithville, Tennessee. He is married to Kelsey and they have a little boy named Scout. They, along with their dog Charlie, are always on the road and love to do everything outdoorsy!

Jessi is a Tennessee native who joined our team completely new to the title industry. Now she is our primary Processing Assistant at our Dickson Location. She and her fiancé (Ricardo) spend their time salsa dancing, somewhere outdoors, or exploring local restaurants.
Jonathan Bloom

After spending 25 years in secondary education, Jon transitioned into real estate before finding his home in the title industry. Jon says, “I'm grateful for the opportunity to combine my passion for serving others with helping clients navigate one of life's most important milestones.”
Jon is married to his wife (Kristen) of 25 years and together they are raising two boys.

Emma Kidder is nearing graduation at Middle Tennessee State University, where she is majoring in Business Administration with a minor in Economics and Finance. She enjoys learning about business and finding ways to apply her skills in everyday life. Outside of school, she loves to travel and has crossed of 10 countries already! Experiencing new cultures, meeting new people, and exploring new places are some of her favorite things to do.

Elvira is proud to serve as an Administrative Assistant, where she enjoys helping clients and supporting her team each day. She is committed to providing friendly, dependable service and helping ensure every interaction is a positive one. As a bilingual team member, fluent in both English and Spanish, Elvira enjoys making clients feel comfortable and well cared for throughout the process.
When she's not at work, Elvira enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She finds great joy in volunteering in her community and at her church, where she loves giving back and serving others. Although she was born and raised in California, Tennessee has become the place she proudly calls home.
